My Dad tried his hardest for many years to get me into detecting but with a busy lifestyle including a young family and a high maintenance job meant that the time I had to myself was slim so I had no chance to go out and detect with him.
I was an interstate truck driver until I underwent surgery for a hand condition which is why I recently brought a Coiltek 11″ Elite coil, SDC 2300 and a GPX 4500 to fill in my days. I brought a four-wheel drive and a 15 foot caravan. I am now prepared
My season started just like any other. By late May I was heading West following an overwhelming urge to hit the goldfields to find that elusive yellow metal. This time though, I had a new tool in the ever-growing collection of detecting accessories. An SDC2300 along with the latest Extreme coils from Coiltek.

Friday afternoon I finished work and packed the camping gear eager to get to the gold fields with my favourite toy, the gpx4500 that was now equipped with a brand new 9″ Coiltek Elite coil and ready to sniff out the gold.
